We're here for you! Free Classes!
Hiawatha Valley Adult Education staff is here for adults who want to succeed in learning. Our licensed teachers will work with you one-on-one, in small groups, and in classroom settings. Daytime and evening classes are available. Click on the links to the right for class information.
There is no charge for our classes and you can enroll at any time after completing orientation. Our staff can answer your questions and help you find the program that is right for you. We had 4 past and current GED students get their GED in August and 1 student who just obtained her Minnesota State Adult Diploma! Congratulations!
Lake City Classes
ABE/GED and ELL class have been added in Lake City at the Lake City Public Library on Mondays! ABE/GED class will be from 4:00 - 6:00pm and ELL class will be from 6:00 - 8:00pm.
We also have two career training programs that have been added - CDL Permit Preparation and Administrative Assistant training. Click on the links for more information.
Most of our classes are open enrollment meaning you can start at any time. Be sure to check our schedule (see links below) as teacher and navigator class times are subject to change.
ABE/GED classes are held in Room 313 (GPS Center) at Minnesota State College Southeast in Red Wing.
Computer Literacy Class
Students needing computer literacy skills are invited to take our computer literacy class. People looking for computer skills for work can also take the computer literacy class. Click HERE for times and information on this class.
We are looking for volunteers to work in our ELL classroom - sessions are on Tuesday & Thursday nights from 6:00 - 8:00pm.
